In our fast-paced world, taking time for self-care and connection isn't just a luxury—it's essential.

especially after the summer holidays!

While group retreats are deeply transformative, there's something uniquely powerful about embarking on a solo wellness journey. At Pause Inhouse Wellbeing, we've made it easier than ever to create your own personalised retreat experience.

Why Choose a Solo Retreat?

A solo retreat offers the rare opportunity to truly disconnect from your daily responsibilities and tune into your own rhythms. It can be a special space and time to slow down and remember who you are without the doing, achieving and caring for others. It is a time to truly disconnect - in order to reconnect.

Crafting Your Perfect Retreat

Imagine waking up in your luxury accommodation, not a sole around or a to-do list in sight, knowing the day ahead is entirely yours to fill with nurturing and supportive experiences, everything that awaits you is designed to support you - to nourish and care for you. The day ahead is yours to receive and renew.

Our number one recommendation is NOT to fill you day with too many pre planned activities - you want plenty of space to rest and tune into your bodies needs and wants in the moment.

If you have the desire for a solo retreat, its a good place to begin with this simple question -

'What is my intention for embarking on this solo retreat?'

and allow your planning to all arise from your answer.

Below we have outlined some ideas to contemplate in order to support you to create the perfect solo retreat experience:

Morning Potential

The morning is ripe with potential and possibility, and its important to harness this powerful time of day. Yogis refer to the early mornings as Brahma Muhurta, the time before the world wakes up - potent with clear energy that we can harness and mould as we desire for the day ahead.

A question to ask yourself is, 'Do I desire to have the space to sleep in, and wake when I please? or am I wanting to rise with the sun and be led through guided yoga or meditation while witnessing the beauty of the sunrise?

or do I desire to experience both! a sleep in one day - and early morning the next?

Our experienced instructors can adapt each session to your experience level and intentions and arrive at your space at any time you choose.

Midday Renewal

After a morning of gentle devotion to yourself, its the perfect time to treat yourself to a professional massage. Why not book yourself a massage for mid afternoon, releasing the body and mind...followed by a soak in the spa, or a much needed afternoon nap.

Our skilled therapists offer a range of modalities to address your specific needs—promoting relaxation and releasing tension being their prime objective. And remember we come to you - therefore you can completely switch off and float into the remainder of your day.

Evening Relax

As the day draws to a close, its the perfect time to embrace the calming power of breathwork and meditation. Our guided sessions help you process the day's experiences and prepare your mind and body for deep, restorative sleep.

If you struggle to sleep, an evening restorative session will be the perfect companion to ensure a sound sleep and contribute to a nurturing solo experience.

The beauty of a solo retreat

The beauty of a solo retreat lies in its flexibility. You can completely tailor it to you and your wants, needs and desires, depending on your intention for your escape.

You might choose to:

- Intersperse wellness sessions with walks in nature

- Schedule periods of intentional silence

- Journal or practice creative activities between sessions

- Take time for quiet contemplation or reading

- Enjoy mindful meals with local produce

-Put the screens away and enjoy a digital detox

What to Pack for Your Retreat

You want to be comfortable, in order to relax therefore we suggest looking through the following list before you leave home;

Let your food be simple

If you LOVE cooking, maybe you want to visit the local farmers market on your way to your retreat - gathering fresh produce and enjoying the space and time to cook while your away.

If your retreat is a time for you to have a break from cooking, maybe you wish to consider outsourcing it, or pre cooking some simple, wholesome whole food meals that you can simply heat up and eat without thinking - or creating dishes to clean!

According to Ayurveda, enjoy a warming beverage before bed supports a deep and restorative sleep, our recipe below is the perfect compliment to your evening wind down ritual:
